Welcome to the openJII researcher guide. openJII is an open platform for plant-science research: collect photosynthesis and plant measurements in the field, bring them together in one place, analyze them, and share them with the wider research community.
It is built and run by the Jan IngenHousz Institute, a non-profit research institute focused on photosynthesis, and it is open source. You do not need to be a programmer to use it: the web platform and the mobile app are designed for researchers first.
The measure, analyze, share arc
Everything in openJII follows the same simple arc:
Measure
Take handheld MultispeQ readings with the offline-first mobile app, or ingest continuous data from Ambyte sensors.
Analyze
Your measurements land in searchable tables with built-in charts, exports, and macro-based analysis.
Share
Invite collaborators, keep data private under embargo, and publish it openly when you are ready.
